Join me on an evening conditioning hike.
This hike is out and back, about 5 miles, with a total elevation gain/loss about 1200 ft. The hike starts at the Powerline Trail on Via Ricardo, west of the cross street Via Pisa. We will take a single track trail to the Edison Utility Rd that will take us up to Conejo Mountain (1817 feet). From top of Conejo Mountain we will have a great 360 degree view Oxnard Plain and the Conejo Valley. It’s optional to bring a snack to share. It could be dark when we finish, so bring a flashlight.
How to get there: From 101 (Ventura Freeway), exit at the Wendy Dr and head south (towards the ocean). Drive about 2 miles, turn right on Borchard Rd, drive about 2 miles and turn right on Via Ricardo. The trail head is about ½ mile on the right after Via Pisa. I will be waiting at the trailhead.
