The Hanson nature preserve is nearly 1,000 acres of river and upland habitat, spanning almost two miles of the mighty Santa Clara River. The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has been working since 2004 to restore this area of former gravel mine back to a native riparian system and is now working on opening this preserve for public enjoyment. Please join us to hear from TNC staff about this beautiful nature preserve and how you can get involved. Hanson Nature Preserve is located midway between Santa Paula and Saticoy, (exit Hwy 126 at Briggs road), at the end of Mission Rock Road.
